ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Helping guide the UCF women's soccer team to its fourth Conference USA regular-season title in the last six years, senior forward Amanda Martorana (Middleburg, Fla.) was selected as the C-USA Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career Monday. She also was named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com National Team of the Week after scoring two goals and adding two assists vs. Southern Miss Oct. 30.

After being recognized before the match for Senior Night at the UCF Soccer Complex, Martorana racked up six points in the 6-0 win over Southern Miss. The victory clinched the outright Conference USA regular-season title for the second-straight year for the Knights.

With a 2-0 lead over the Golden Eagles in the 26th minute, Martorana helped put it away with her first goal of the evening off passes from classmates Brianna Schooley and Kim Newsome. Then just over 14 minutes later, Martorana hit the back of the net yet again for her first-career two-goal game.

Martorana also assisted on goals by Kacie Horner in the 14th minute and by Marissa Diggs in the 74th minute. With her performance in the regular-season finale, Martorana now ranks fourth on the team with 15 points on four goals and seven assists.

With the regular-season trophy locked away, the Knights will bring a 13-3-3 overall record and the No. 1 seed into the C-USA Championship this week at the UCF Soccer Complex. Quarterfinals are set for Wednesday and UCF will take on the winner of No. 4 SMU and No. 5 Rice Friday at 7:30 p.m. Ticket information can be found at UCFAthletics.com.
