ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF will open play Sunday at the Prestige at PGA WEST in California with an experienced lineup. The Knights have finished qualifying for the tournament and senior Nuno Henriques (Funchal, Portugal), juniors Connor Arendell (Cape Coral, Fla.) and Brad Schneider (Valrico, Fla.), sophomore Reid Martin (Mukilteo, Wash.) and freshman Greg Eason (Leicester City, England) will compete for the team.
All five Knights participated in UCF's last event, helping the squad claim the title at the Adam's Cup of Newport in Rhode Island on Sept. 21. Eason (first), Henriques (tie for fourth) and Martin (tie for fourth) earned tournament exemptions for their play in Rhode Island. Arendell garnered an exemption for claiming medalist honors in UCF's first event of the fall, the Wolf Run Intercollegiate in Indiana.
Schneider filled the final spot by posting the low qualifying total score of players not exempt for the tournament. In five rounds at courses in the Orlando area, he posted an 11-under 349.
