WINDERMERE, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The Isleworth Collegiate Invitational, considered the premier tournament in the country, concluded Tuesday and the UCF men's golf team finished the three-day event in 10th. The Knights were led by freshman Greg Eason (Leicester City, England), who tied for 11th.

The tournament at the Isleworth Golf & Country Club included 15 teams, and nine of the squads were ranked in the top-25 nationally. UCF posted a 306 (+18) during Tuesday's final round to finish at 43-over 907. Fifth-ranked Alabama took the team title at 884 (+13). No. 12 LSU (886, +22) placed second, followed by No. 1 Florida and No. 18 Stanford, who tied for third at 894 (+30).

Despite a 4-over 76 during the third round, Eason tied for 11th at 221 (+5). He was joined in the top 20 by junior Connor Arendell (Cape Coral, Fla.). Arendell tied for 16th (223, +7).

UCF finished one shot ahead of No. 10 Georgia and Tennessee, who tied for 11th at 44-over 908.

Florida's Bank Vongvanij (212, -4) took medalist honors. UCF senior Nuno Henriques (Funchal, Portugal) tied for 44th at 230 (+14). Junior Brad Schneider (Valrico, Fla.) tied for 57th (236, +20) and sophomore Reid Martin (Mukilteo, Wash.) finished the event 60th (237, +21).

Texas Tech hosted the event at Isleworth.

The tournament was the final of the fall for the Knights. UCF participated in four events, and recorded a pair of top-five finishes, highlighted by the championship at the Adam's Cup of Newport in September in Rhode Island.

The team will return to action on Feb. 12 at the Gator Invitational in Gainesville.
