ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's golf team has set its lineup for the prestigious Isleworth Collegiate Invitational, which begins Sunday in nearby Windermere. Three Knights earned exemptions to compete in the tournament thanks to their strong play this season, and two other golfers will play at Isleworth after qualifying this week.
Senior Nuno Henriques (Funchal, Portugal), junior Connor Arendell (Cape Coral, Fla.) and freshman Greg Eason (Leicester City, England) all garnered exemptions. Eason earned his as a result of his medalist performance at the Adam's Cup of Newport earlier of the year, while Arendell (10th place) and Henriques (11th place) received exemptions based on their play at the Prestige at PGA WEST.
The trio will be joined by junior Brad Schneider (Valrico, Fla.) and sophomore Reid Martin (Mukilteo, Wash.). Both golfers had the top qualifying scores among players without exemptions. The Knights had 3 ½ rounds of qualifying at two sites, and Schneider posted a 10-over 262, followed by Martin's 15-over 267.
Play at Isleworth will run through Tuesday.
