LA QUINTA, Calif. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's golf team entered Monday's second round of the Prestige at PGA WEST outside the top 10, but the Knights are now tied for seventh. The Knights cared a 4-over 292 during the second round.
UCF entered the second round tied for 11th. The Knights will begin Tuesday's final round at 593 (+17). No. 21 Stanford and No. 22 Cal are tied for first at 575 (-1). Washington, ranked seventh in the country, is third (580, +4).
A pair of Knights are in the top-15 individually. Junior Connor Arendell (Cape Coral, Fla.) is tied for 10th (143, -1). He carded a 72 (E) during the second round. On Monday, senior Nuno Henriques (Funchal, Portugal) registered a 4-under 68. He is now 14th at 144 (E).
UCF is tied with UC Davis and Oregon. Vanderbilt is sixth at 16-over 592.
Five top-25 squads are competing in the event, including the No. 25 Knights.
UCF junior Brad Schneider (Valrico, Fla.) is tied for 34th at 6-over 150. Washington's Charlie Hughes leads the field at 9-under 135.
