ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - TopDrawSoccer.com honored UCF's Cameron Cooksey with a spot on Men's Team of the Week for his performances against Jacksonville and Florida Atlantic. Cooksey helped lead the Knights to an impressive 5-0 win to start the season against JU, netting two goals and adding an assist for five points. His first goal against the Dolphins in the opener was the first of his career, while his five-point performance was a new career high.

It took until the 23rd minute of the season for Cooksey to find the back of the net with his first-career goal. Sprinting down the left side of the field, the junior forward slipped past a JU defender and put a low shot past the keeper and inside the far post.

With UCF already holding a 4-0 lead, Cooksey's second goal of the contest sealed the win in the 89th minute. Positioning himself at close range, Cooksey connected on a loose ball for the fifth goal of the game for the Black and Gold.

The five goals against the Dolphins marked the first time that UCF had scored five goals in a game since defeating East Carolina, 5-0, on Nov. 4, 2005.

Against FAU on Monday afternoon, Cooksey was held without a point, but helped spark the UCF offense to another shutout win, 4-0.

After two matches at home to start the season, UCF will now head out on a five-game road swing beginning this weekend at the UNC-Wilmington Tournament. The Knights will play the host school on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. before meeting Long Island Sunday at noon.
