ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's golf team will enter its second tournament of the fall, the Adams Cup of Newport in Rhode Island, with two new faces in the lineup. The Knights concluded team qualifying for the event on Friday.
Juniors Connor Arendell (Cape Coral, Fla.) and Brad Schneider (Valrico, Fla.) both received exemptions for their strong play at UCF's season-opening event, the Wolf Run Intercollegiate in Indiana, last week. Arendell claimed medalist honors and Schneider tied for sixth as the Knights placed second out of 15 squads.
Freshman Greg Eason (Leicestershire, England) played in Indiana and qualified for the event in Rhode Island which will begin Monday and conclude the following day.
Senior Nuno Henriques (Funchal, Portugal) and Reid Martin (Mukilteo, Wash.) did not play at the Wolf Run, but both qualified for the Adams Cup. Henriques was unable to qualify for the first tournament due to an injury.
