ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's soccer team is about to open up its preseason schedule when it travels to the College of Charleston Saturday at 6 p.m. It will be the first of three scrimmages for the Knights as they will host Tampa Monday at 7 p.m. and Saint Leo Aug. 28 at 6 p.m.
The three preseason scrimmages will help set the stage for the 2010 regular season opener at home vs. Jacksonville Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. Admission to all home matches at the UCF Soccer Complex is free.
The Black and Gold returns the majority of its roster from 2009 where it finished 6-7-3 overall. That includes Nicholas Keown-Robson who paced the Knights with eight goals and 22 points. Sophomore Shawn Doyle also is back after playing all 1,470 minutes in net as a freshman.
