ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF volleyball team has a lot to look forward to this fall, as Todd Dagenais' 2010 recruiting class was recently recognized by PrepVolleyball.com as one of the top 100 recruiting classes in the nation, with the mention being the first in program-history.

"It is an honor to be mentioned on the 2010 recruiting rankings list," Dagenais said. "While it is always nice to be recognized, especially for the first time, the true measure of a recruiting class is in the final results, not their initial ranking."

Along with being one of the top recruiting classes nationally, Dagenais' newcomers also rank as the fourth-best recruiting class in Conference USA.

Marshall earned the highest ranking in the league this season with a No. 29 ranking, while both Rice and Tulane were named to the High Honorable Mention list, which consists of the top 51-70 classes.

Members of the Knights' 2010 recruiting class are Katie Tatum (OH - Roxboro, N.C.), Marie Reiterova (S - Luxembourg, Luxembourg), Roxy Mendez (L - Orlando, Fla.), Allison Rinderknect (OH/MB - Jacksonville, Fla.), Kaye-Alese Green (MB - Jacksonville, Fla.) and Rachel Vukson (S - Oakville, Ontario).

"This recruiting class will have the opportunity to completely rewrite the UCF record books if they are able to live up to the lofty expectations that we have of them," Dagenais said.

The 2010 volleyball squad is scheduled to officially hit the court Aug. 9 for preseason training camp.
