ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's golf team will head to Madison, Miss., this weekend to compete in the BancorpSouth Intercollegiate. This two-day tournament, hosted by Ole Miss, will take place at Reunion Golf and Country Club and will begin play Monday.
The tournament field consists of 15 teams, six of whom rank in the top-50 nationally; No. 10 Florida, No. 22 North Florida, No. 40 SE Louisiana, No. 44 Ole Miss, No. 45 UCF and No. 49 Rice. Conference USA opponents UAB and Southern Miss will also be competing.
Teeing off for the Knights is senior Simon Ward (County Monagahn, Ireland), junior Nuno Henriques (Funchal, Portugal), sophomores Brad Schneider (Valrico, Fla.) and Connor Arendell (Cape Coral, Fla.) and freshman Reid Martin (Mukilteo, Wash.), all of whom competed last weekend at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate in South Carolina.
Schneider was UCF's top finisher at Hootie at Bulls Bay, tying for 10th with a score of 211 (-2).
BancorpSouth marks the final event for the Knights before the C-USA Championship April 25-27 at the RedTail Golf Club in Sorrento.
