AWENDAW, S.C. (UCFAthletics.com) - On Tuesday, play concluded at the Hootie at Bulls Bay, and the UCF men's golf team finished 13th at the event. The three-day tournament at the Bulls Bay Golf Club featured 12 of the top-50 squads in the country.
The Knights ended play at 876 (+24). During Tuesday's final round, the team recorded a 1-under 283. UCF was led by sophomore Brad Schneider (Valrico, Fla.), who tied for 10th (211, -2).
No. 29 LSU took the team title at 845 (-7), followed by No. 34 Wake Forest (846, -6) and No. 18 Virginia (848, -4).
The Knights finished six shots behind No. 30 East Tennessee State, who placed 12th at 870 (+18).
Schneider posted a 3-under 68 on the final 18 holes. Both junior Nuno Henriques (Funchal, Portugal) and sophomore Connor Arendell (Cape Coral, Fla.) tied for 37th at 5-over 218.
Senior Simon Ward (County Monaghan, Ireland) tied for 68th and freshman Reid Martin (Mukilteo, Wash.) tied for 73rd.
The Knights will return to action on April 5 when play begins at the 2010 BancorpSouth Intercollegiate in Madison, Miss.
