ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's golf squad, which is coming off a title at the Rio Pinar Invitational last week, has set its lineup for the Hootie at Bulls Bay, which starts Sunday in Awendaw, S.C. The three-day tournament features some of the top teams in the country.
As a result of their top-10 finishes at Rio Pinar, senior Simon Ward (County Monaghan, Ireland), junior Nuno Henriques (Funchal, Portugal), sophomore Brad Schneider (Valrico, Fla.) and freshman Reid Martin (Mukilteo, Wash.) all earned tournament exemptions to compete in the event in South Carolina. Based on scoring average for the season, and his finish at Rio Pinar, sophomore Connor Arendell (Cape Coral, Fla.) earned the final spot in the lineup with the coaches' pick.
Schneider place second at Rio Pinar, earning Conference USA Player of the Week honors in process. Henriques finished third, Ward placed fifth and Martin tied for sixth.
