ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The 2010 UCF baseball season is quickly approaching, and season tickets have been going fast. Only 20 reserved seats remain while chairbacks are completely sold out. Adults save 68 percent when they buy season tickets compared to single-game purchases.
As a special gift, fans who purchase four or more season tickets will receive a vintage, game-worn UCF jersey signed by head coach Terry Rooney, while those fans who purchase at least two tickets will receive a baseball autographed by Rooney. Those one-of-a-kind items can be picked up beginning on Opening Day Feb. 19.
To buy your season tickets today, contact the UCF Ticket Office at 407-823-1000 or visit UCFAthletics.com.
The Knights will play 36 games at home this year including Opening Weekend festivities, Little League Sundays and a few 80s nights to honor Rooney's passion for the era. Reserved bleacher seats are only $150. Faculty/staff, youth and senior season tickets are $99.
Single-game attendance has been growing dramatically in recent years, so this is a perfect chance to join in on the action. UCF set a school-record with 1,088 fans per game a year ago, highlighted by the largest crowd in program history on March 18 (2,758 vs. Florida). In all, six of UCF's top-20 largest crowds occurred in 2009, and 11 of the top-20 most-attended games have been set in the last two years combined.
With some very talented returning players back for 2010 such as Shane Brown, Chris Duffy, D.J. Hicks, Beau Taylor, Cory Weech and Stephen Branca, UCF also brings in a unanimous top-10 recruiting class, and in all, the Knights have MLB draft picks at seven of the nine positions on the field. That could help make the 2010 campaign very memorable.
