ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Another edition of UCF Sports Today with Kirk Speraw will air Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. on Bright House Sports Network, 12:30 p.m. on UCF TV and statewide on Sun Sports at 4 p.m. This week's episode includes a feature story on redshirt freshman forward David Diakite (Washington, D.C.).
Known for his play above the rim, Diakite is striving to become more of a complete player in his second campaign with the Knights. He has appeared in all 24 contests in 2009-10, making 20 starts. Diakite is averaging 5.8 points and 4.8 rebounds.
During the program, Speraw and host Marc Daniels will also preview UCF's two Conference USA games this week. The squad will host Houston at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the UCF Arena, and then meet host Southern Miss Saturday.
Each week, UCF Sports Today features local bands. Tuesday's episode includes music from Sound Cannon (soundcannonband.com) and The Dropa Stone (myspace.com/thedropastone).
