ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - A week after defeating Jacksonville the UCF women's tennis team heads to Tallahassee to face Florida A&M Saturday at 11 a.m.
The Knights defeated the Dolphins in a close match 4-3 last Saturday. Sophomore Alexis Rodriguez and freshman Jenna Doerfler clinched the doubles point with a 9-7 victory over Fernanda Carerro and Iva Jaresova. Freshman Allison Hodges dropped only three games in her singles win against Carerro.
In last year's home opener UCF defeated FAMU 7-0. The Knights hold a 14-0 all-time record against the Rattlers.
The Black and Gold will be back home to host Memphis Feb. 21 and South Florida Feb. 24.
