? With the win, head coach Kirk Speraw needs only two victories to become the winningest coach in program history. In his 17th year at UCF, Speraw has 273 wins.
? UCF has now won four-straight home Conference USA openers.
? A year ago, Jermaine Taylor led the Knights with 24 blocked shots. Keith Clanton totaled three blocks versus the Owls, and now has 26 in 15 contests this season.
? Clanton, who totaled a season-best 17 points, shot 7-of-9 from the field. The freshman also made both of his 3-point field goal attempts, and led the Knights with six rebounds.
? A.J. Rompza totaled five steals to go with 13 points and six assists in 33 minutes. Last season, Rompza played in 29 games and had 46 steals. In just 15 contests in 2009-10, the sophomore already has 45 swipes.
? UCF's bench totaled 36 points, compared to 12 for the Owls.
? In nine minutes of action, freshman reserve guard R.J. Scott scored a season-best five points.
? Drew Speraw also scored a season-high five points in the win.
? Marcus Jordan made his first career start in the win. He was one of three freshmen in the UCF starting lineup.
? UCF recorded 21 assists on 30 made field goals. The Knights also had seven blocks.
