ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - This week's edition of UCF Sports Today with Kirk Speraw, which airs Tuesday, will take a look at the transformation of sophomore center Jakub Kusmieruk (Sokolow Podlaski, Poland). The 30-minute show is broadcast at 10:30 a.m. on Bright House Sports Network, 12:30 p.m. on UCF TV and statewide on Sun Sports at 4 p.m.

This past summer, Kusmieruk, who now weighs 280 pounds, headed to Chicago to train with sophomore guard A.J. Rompza (Chicago, Ill.). The workouts paid off as the 7-foot-4 Kusmieruk dropped 40 pounds. This season, he has appeared in 18 of UCF's 19 contests.

UCF Sports Today is hosted by Marc Daniels. This week's program includes music from local acts Blue News Band (bluenewsband.com) and The Dropa Stone (myspace.com/thedropastone).

The Knights' next game is slated for Wednesday at SMU. On Saturday, the squad will host Tulsa at 5 p.m. at the UCF Arena.
