? With the victory over the Cougars, the Knights provided head coach Kirk Speraw with his 274th win at UCF. Speraw, who is in his 17th campaign at the school, is now tied with the legendary Torchy Clark for first on the UCF career wins list. Clark coached the Knights from 1969-83, and the majority of his wins came at the Division II level.
? The victory at Houston was the first on the Cougars' home floor for the Knights since the 2005-06 campaign.
? UCF's 49 rebounds were a season high.
? After totaling a career-best 23 points at Houston, Marcus Jordan has now led the squad in scoring in two of the Knights' last three games. The freshman is averaging 13.0 points in Conference USA play.
? A.J. Tyler matched career highs in both points (19) and rebounds (9).
? A.J. Rompza led all players with five assists.
? David Diakite made 5-of-7 attempts from the field and finished with 13 points and nine boards.
? In 19 minutes off the bench, P.J. Gaynor grabbed eight rebounds and scored six points.
? Keith Clanton totaled four blocked shots in the winning effort.
? Former UCF star Jermaine Taylor, who is in his first year with the Houston Rockets, attended the game, as did former Knight Chip Cartwright.
? Houston native Kevin Brown, who signed a National Letter of Intent with the Knights in the fall, also attended the contest. Brown is a 6-foot-2 guard from Elsik High School.
? The contest was the first of three in Texas this year for the Knights, who will play at SMU next Wednesday, and at Rice on March 6 to close the regular season.
