ATLANTA, Ga. (UCFAthletics.com) - Junior Jenny Frisell took down one ranked opponent Saturday during day two of the ITA Southeast Regionals at Georgia Tech. However she could not reach the quarterfinals in a three-set loss to a top-25 player in the round of 16.

Frisell opened up her day with a 6-4, 6-3 triumph over Georgia's Cameron Ellis, who entered with a No. 108 national ranking. The UCF junior then won the first set against No. 24 Noemie Scharle of Florida State, but fell in the next two sets to come up just short of the quarters.

Also claiming a singles victory, sophomore Alexis Rodriguez won her first match of the consolation singles draw, a 6-1, 6-3 decision against Stetson's Katherine Nowicki before Rodriguez bowed out in the second round.

The Knights will now conclude their fall season with the Florida State Tournament Nov. 6-8. Their spring season kicks off with the UCF Quad Tournament Jan. 16-18.
