The Black and Gold returns two of its top four hitters from 2009 in senior infielder Shane Brown and sophomore catcher Beau Taylor. Brown was taken by the New York Yankees in last summer's draft after hitting .341 with 44 RBI as a junior. And Taylor was a Freshman All-American, throwing out a Conference USA-best 26 runners while also batting.335.

Two-way standout D.J. Hicks also enters his sophomore campaign in 2010. The right-handed pitcher/designated hitter hit .349 in his final 29 games, while finishing 4-5 on the mound with three saves. And IF/OF Chris Duffy kicks off his senior season with a .283 career average and 22 home runs.

They will be joined by a recruiting class that has received a lot of attention in college baseball, and it can viewed by clicking HERE.

The Knights are slated to open the fall practice season in early October.
