ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's golf team will start the fall campaign this Saturday at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate. The two-day tournament will take place at the Wolf Run Golf Course in Zionsville, Ind.
The tournament, hosted by Indiana, will feature 17 teams from across the country including sixth-ranked Illinois, Penn State, Kentucky, Louisville and Michigan. The teams will play two rounds on Saturday and conclude the invitational with one round on Sunday.
The Knights lineup consists of freshman Andrew Colvin (Longwood, Fla.), sophomores Connor Arendell (Cape Coral, Fla.) and Brad Schneider (Valrico, Fla.), junior Nuno Henriques (Funchal, Portugal) and senior Simon Ward (County Monagahn, Ireland). This will be Colvin and Arendell's first time teeing off for the Knights. Arendell is a transfer from Louisville.
Over the summer, Ward competed in several events across Europe including the British Amateur and the European Team Championship with fellow teammate Henriques in Britain.
After competing in the Wolf Run Intercollegiate, the Knights will travel next week to Middletown, R.I., for the Adam's Cup of Newport Collegiate Invitational.
