1-on-1 With Coach Rooney - Part One

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - In a two-part feature, UCF baseball first-year head coach Terry Rooney touched on a variety of topics when he sat down with UCFAthletics.com for another exclusive video interview Thursday. Along with assistant director of athletics communications Brian Ormiston, Rooney recapped the series win at Memphis and talked about the hitting streaks of Shane Brown and Colin Arnold. He also discussed how two of his young pitchers, Jordan Rasinski and Brennan Dobbins, were able to escape jams at North Florida, what the rotation will be against Tulane this weekend and when fans can expect to read about his first signing class at UCF.

In the second part which will be available online Friday, Rooney focused on the huge attendance numbers the Knights have experienced for home games this year and how that plays a factor into any future facility upgrades as well as his expectations for the UCF program overall.

The Knights are ready to open up a three-game home series with Tulane Friday at 6:30 p.m., with game two Saturday at 4 p.m. and the finale set for Sunday at 11 a.m.
