ORLANDO, Fla. - Friday is the second straight day of proud academic news for UCF. Today, 34 student-athletes received C-USA Academic Medals, symbolic of maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 or higher.
Yesterday, a league record 224 UCF student-athletes were named to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll for having a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. It is also the third consecutive year that UCF has placed the most student-athletes on the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll of any league school.
UCF's 34 student-athletes receiving Academic Medals represents an increase of seven over its 2008 total of 27. Overall, 10 different UCF teams can boast at least one student-athlete with at least a 3.75 cumulative GPA.
