? The victory served as head coach Kirk Speraw's 250th win at UCF. One of the longest-tenured coaches in the country, he is in his 16th campaign at the school.
? With the win over the Jackrabbits, the Knights improved to 6-1 in games outside the continental United States since 2005.
? The Knights began the Cancun Challenge on Nov. 22, posting a 72-71 victory at New Mexico after Chris Baez hit a 3-pointer with four seconds to play. The victory snapped a 33-game home non-conference winning streak for the Lobos.
? Baez scored nine points against South Dakota State - all after halftime. He hit three triples in 26 minutes. Baez earned his first career start during the game.
? Taylor Young connected on career-high four field goals against the Jacks. He started at point guard for the first time this season. He appeared in the starting lineup in each of the Knights' first four games as a shooting guard.
? Will Weathers hit four free throws in the win to establish a new season high of four points for the rookie.
? In addition to Baez, Tony Davis also started for the first time this season. He missed UCF's first two contests due to injury and appeared as a reserve against New Mexico and Ole Miss.
