HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (www.ucfathletics.com) - Visiting UCF (5-4-0, 2-0-0 C-USA) fell behind in the first half before scoring the game's final three goals to down Marshall (0-9-1, 0-2-0 C-USA) 3-1 in Conference USA men's soccer action in Huntington, W.Va. Freshman Kyle McEntee tallied his first two goals of his career in the second half for the Knights.

With the victory, UCF evened the all-time series with the Thundering Herd at 3-3-1.

"To have the ability to go down a goal and come back and win is huge for us, especially on the road where wins are so precious in Conference USA," said head coach Bryan Cunningham.

McEntee, a native of Boca Raton, Fla., broke a 1-1 halftime tie in the 62nd minute, scoring unassisted when he beat a trio of Thundering Herd defenders and slipping a shot past the Marshall keeper for a 2-1 lead.

In the 70th minute, McEntee gave the Knights a cushion with his second goal, taking a pass from fellow freshman Kyle Ellis (Bear, Del.) and scoring in front of the net.

Marshall opened the scoring with a goal in the first half when Dustin Dawes scored an unassisted goal on a rebound shot.

Freshman Kevan George (Decatur, Ga.) scored his team-leading fourth goal of the season to knot the score at 1-1. Sophomore Yaron Bacher (Atlanta, Ga.) tallied his third assist of the season.

Sophomore keeper Sean Johnson (Lilburn, Ga.) collected seven saves on the night to earn the victory in goal.

"It was a total team effort, especially starting seven freshmen, two sophomore and two seniors," said Cunningham. "For them to play that hard and get the result is great. We now turn our attention to FIU at home Wednesday night."

The Knights return to action on Wednesday, hosting Florida International at 7 p.m. at the UCF Soccer Complex.
