ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - During the early 1980s, the Knights were not known for their offensive prowess. When the Knights did score, Dan Faison was usually responsible for the points. The 6-foot-6 wing spent just three years in Orlando, but finished still finished his UCF career with 1,283 points.
A versatile athlete, Faison played for the Knights from 1982-85 after spending one campaign at Virginia Commonwealth. As a sophomore he averaged a team-high 16.7 points and earned All-Sunshine State Conference First Team honors.
The following season, he paced the squad in points (15.1) and rebounds (8.4). In 1984-85, UCF's first campaign at the Division I level, Faison averaged 14.0 points and was the team's top rebounder at 8.0 boards per game.
A native of Bartow, Fla., he ranks ninth all-time in scoring at UCF.
