ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Following a recent workout, members of the UCF men's basketball team spent some time in front of the camera as the Knights participated in a video shoot for the squad's pregame introductions. The video will be shown before the Knights take the court for each game at the new UCF Arena.
David Belawski, Nate Kalaf and Jerry Melchor of the UCF video services staff coordinated the shoot, which occurred inside the Knights' practice facility. Each member of the squad was filmed in front of a green screen.
Belawski, Kalaf and Melchor will now edit the video, which will debut on the video board at the new UCF Arena on Nov. 16 when UCF opens the regular season against North Carolina A&T.
The Knights wore their home white jerseys and shorts for the video shoot. A year ago, team members donned practice gear for the shoot because their new uniforms had not arrived yet. Last season marked the first time that UCF had an introduction video. The old UCF Arena did not have a video board.
All 15 players on the UCF roster participated in the filming.
According to Kalaf, scenes from the shoot will also be used during the UCF Sports Today with Kirk Speraw weekly television program, which will premier in January.
The Knights are scheduled to play 16 contests at home, including games against cross-state foe USF and 2008 national runner-up Memphis. Season tickets are currently available. To order your season tickets today, or to learn more about premium seating options at the new UCF Arena, contact the UCF ticket sales office at (407) UCF-1000.
Season ticket renewals are due Oct. 15.
