ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - UCF's new basketball practice facility will be featured on the Central Florida Sports Report on Wednesday evening at 11:13 p.m. on Central Florida News 13. The segment will include interviews with UCF head coach Kirk Speraw and senior guard Jermaine Taylor (Tavares, Fla./Tavares).
CFN-13's David Baumann recently visited the UCF campus to tour the facility, which opened in the spring. The facility, located in the old arena, includes a pair of practice courts, a strength and conditioning area, coaches' offices and locker rooms.
Baumann spoke to Speraw and Taylor about not only the facility, but also about the Knights' offseason workouts.
A Conference USA Player of the Year candidate, Taylor averaged 20.8 points a year ago. In 2008-09, he will be among the nation's leading returning scorers.
