? The Knights were playing in Texas for the third time this season. The squad previously faced Sam Houston State, SMU and Rice.

? Kenrick Zondervan paced UCF with eight boards. Four of his rebounds came on the offensive end.

? Dave Noel made his 60th-consecutive start for the Knights. He has started every contest since the start of the 2006-07 campaign.

? Noel helped limit Houston's Robert McKiver to 15 points on 4-of-15 shooting from the floor. He entered the game averaging 23.1 points, which ranked 10th in the nation.

? Noel's eight assists matched a career high. He also recorded six rebounds on Wednesday.

? Mike O'Donnell hit five triples against the Cougars and now has 75 for the year. That mark ranks seventh on UCF's single-season register.

? Jermaine Taylor totaled 16 points in the loss. During the game, he became the first player since UCF joined the Division I ranks in 1984 to eclipse the 600-point mark in a season. He has recorded 609 points in 2007-08, good for sixth on the school's single-season register.

? Noel, O'Donnell and Taylor all logged 37 minutes against the Cougars.

? For the first time this season for the Knights, the score was tied at halftime.

? The contest served as a homecoming for UCF guard Chip Cartwright. The Houston native finished with seven points and two assists in 22 minutes.
