Suh Helps Men's Golf Make Move at Hootie at Bulls Bay

AWENDAW, S.C. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The UCF men's golf team moved to seventh in team standings on Monday after two rounds of play at the Hootie at Bulls Bay at the Bulls Bay Golf Club. The 18th-ranked Knights, who entered the second round tied for 10th, posted a 291 (+7) on Monday and are tied with Augusta State at 582 (+14).

UCF senior Giwon Suh (Orlando, Fla./Olympia) recorded the second-best round in the 75-player field on Monday. Suh carded a two-under 69 and is tied for 12th (143, +1). He finished the first round on Sunday tied for 43rd at three-over 73.

Junior Greg Forest (Palm City, Fla./Martin County) is tied for 10th at 142 (E). Forest registered a one-over 72 in the second round.

NC State's Matt Hill is in first at 138 (-4) after posting a four-under 67 on Monday.

The Knights and Augusta State are two strokes behind Lamar (580, +12). The Cardinals are sixth in the team standings.

UCF junior David Johnson (Palm Bay, Fla./Melbourne) is tied for 55th (150, +8). He carded a 75 (+4) in the second round. Sophomore Nico Donaldson (Windermere, Fla./Olympia) is tied for 65th (153, +11) and fellow sophomore Mike Stern (Miami, Fla./Killian) sits in 72nd with one round to play at 157 (+15).

No. 15 South Carolina (566, -2) is the team leader, followed by NC State (567, -1).

The 15-squad event concludes on Tuesday.
