? The Knights were competing at the Conference USA Championship for the third time. Each event that UCF has participated in has been held in Memphis.
? UCF and Southern Miss were meeting for the first time at the league championship and for just the fourth time overall.
? Jermaine Taylor paced all players with 25 points. He led the Knights in scoring in 23 of the team's 31 games this season.
? Taylor finished the campaign with 646 points, good for fifth on UCF's single-season register.
? This season, Taylor connected on 79 triples, which ranked on seventh on the school's list.
? In his final collegiate game, Dave Noel scored 20 points in 39 minutes. The 20 points matched a career high.
? UCF recorded six blocked shots in the game as Stanley Billings and Tony Davis both had three swats.
? With Mike O'Donnell out of the lineup because of an injury, Chip Cartwright made his third career start.
? Davis led the Knights with seven boards.
