March 3, 2008

ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - As his team enters the final week of the regular season, UCF head coach Kirk Speraw will take a break from his busy schedule on Monday to participate in the Kirk Speraw Call-In Show. The hour-long radio program, which airs on the UCF ISP Sports Network and 740 AM in Orlando, begins at 6 p.m. at the Applebee's on University Boulevard near campus.

After posting a 68-60 win over Rice in their home finale on Saturday, the Knights are 16-12 overall and 9-5 in Conference USA, good for fourth in the 12-team league. UCF has a pair of road contests this week, starting with a game at Houston on Wednesday.

The Cougars (21-7, 10-4) are third in the C-USA standings. After meeting Houston, UCF will conclude the regular season on Saturday at Tulsa.

The C-USA Championship will begin on March 12 in Memphis, Tenn.

The radio show is hosted by Marc Daniels. Fans can call-in to ask Speraw questions during the program by dialing 407-916-8255 or 1-800-729-8255.
