? The contest at the new UCF Arena was played in front of 5,682 fans. The mark was good for the fourth-largest attendance in program history.
? Jermaine Taylor paced the Knights in scoring for the 18th time this season, finishing with 31 points. He has led the team in points in six-straight games.
? Taylor has now recorded 30-point performances three times this season and twice in Conference USA play.
? Mike O'Donnell had three assists for the Knights and now has recorded 296 at UCF, which ranks sixth in school history. During the game, O'Donnell passed Darryl Davis, who dished out 294 assists from 1991-95.
? The Knights finished the game with a 30-14 scoring advantage in the paint against Houston.
? UCF shot 50 percent from the field after intermission.
? Kenrick Zondervan paced the Knights with a career-high six assists. The performance marked the first time this season that the junior led the squad in assists. The Knights finished with 19 assists, compared to 12 for the Cougars.
? Zondervan also led the hosts with seven rebounds.
? UCF finished the game with a 40-34 edge on the glass.
? Coaches from both UCF and Houston wore sneakers during the game as part of the National Association of Basketball Coaches' Coaches vs. Cancer program. The program is designed to raise awareness about cancer prevention and research.
