ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The UCF women's soccer team learned late Wednesday night that it completed its 2007 season ranked No. 20 in the final Ratings Percentage Index (RPI). The Knights were the highest rated Conference USA program after they posted a 15-4-4 overall record and made a trip to the NCAA Tournament Second Round.

UCF claimed a share of the C-USA regular-season title by going 7-1-1 in league play, its second championship in three seasons. The Black and Gold played a very difficult schedule during the year, including posting ties vs. NCAA runner-up No. 5 Florida State and No. 14 Florida and victories over No. 34 Memphis, No. 48 Auburn and No. 49 UNLV. UCF's only loss to a top-50 program came at the hands of No. 4 Penn State, a 1-0 defeat in Knoxville, Tenn.

Overall, the Knights were 0-1-1 vs. the top 25, 3-2-2 against the top 50 and 10-4-4 vs. the top 100. Meanwhile, they never lost a match (5-0-0) when they battled a program ranked beyond the top 100.

The 2008 campaign marked UCF's 12th trip the NCAA Tournament, and seventh-consecutive season with double-digit victories. Head coach Amanda Cromwell saw her career record in Orlando improve to 127-57-11 in her ninth season with the Knights. She has taken UCF to the NCAA Tournament six times since her first season in 1999.

Individually, senior goalkeeper Jennifer Manis claimed the C-USA Defensive Player of the Year award by playing every minute in net. She completed her year with a 0.87 goals-against average and 126 saves. Junior Danielle Dos Santos earned C-USA Newcomer of the Year honors, and Manis, junior Hanna Wilde and sophomore Nikki Moore all picked up All-C-USA First-Team accolades.

UCF also racked up a league-high seven C-USA players of the week.
