Jan. 14, 2008

ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The season debut of the Kirk Speraw Call-In Show is slated for Monday evening. The weekly radio program, which airs on the UCF ISP Sports Network and 740 AM in Orlando, is broadcast live from the Applebee's on University Boulevard near campus.

The hour-long program begins at 6 p.m. and fans are invited to attend the broadcast. UCF's radio play-by-play voice, Marc Daniels, hosts the program. Each week, Speraw joins Daniels to talk about the UCF men's basketball program.

UCF supporters who attended the Knights' game with Tulsa on Jan. 12 can use their ticket stubs from the contest to receive a 20-percent discount during the show at Applebee's.

Speraw's squad is off to a 2-0 start in Conference USA play this season after defeating Tulsa, 97-91, in a triple-overtime thriller. The contest was played in front of a school-record 7,097 fans at the new UCF Arena.

The Knights' next contest is set for Saturday at East Carolina.

The UCF Athletics Association is currently offering a pair of ticket packages for the remainder of the season. For more information about the ticket packages, call 407-UCF-1000.
