ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - UCF men's basketball head coach Kirk Speraw announced Wednesday schedule changes for the UCF Holiday Classic, which the Knights will host Dec. 30-31 at the new UCF Arena. Contests at the four-team event will start at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. each day.
UCF will open the tournament on Sunday, Dec. 30 against the New Jersey Institute of Technology at 3:30 p.m. Long Island and Texas-Pan Am will open the event at 1 p.m.
On Monday, Dec. 31, the consolation game is slated for 1 p.m., followed by the championship (3:30 p.m.).
Tickets to the tournament are included a special holiday ticket package that the UCF Athletics Association is currently offering. For $25, fans will receive tickets to the Knights' contest with traditional power Connecticut on Dec. 28 and the two tournament games.
The holiday package provides fans with a $10 discount as tickets to these three contests usually cost $35.
