Moore, George, Wilde Named NSCAA Women's Soccer All-Southeast Members

Dec. 17, 2007

ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The UCF women's soccer trio of junior Hanna Wilde and sophomores Nikki Moore and Yvonne George each nabbed spots on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Southeast Teams on Monday. It was the seventh time in program history that at least three Knights were honored to an NSCAA all-region team.

The awards were the first for all three student-athletes, as they marked the sixth-consecutive season that UCF put at least one Knight on the all-region squad.

Moore and George were selected to the second team, while Wilde was placed on the third team. Moore helped lead a UCF defense that posted 10 shutouts on the season. The Virginia Beach native also got into the act offensively by scoring one goal and assisting on six others for eight points. Moore had her best game in a win at Mississippi State, posting a goal and a helper for a three-point affair.

George became one of Conference USA's biggest surprises in 2007. Coming off a year in which she did not record a point, the Winter Springs native delivered with eight goals and five assists for 21 points. George also had three game-winners, including the deciding goal in overtime over East Carolina.

A midfielder from Westlake, Ohio, Wilde continued a terrific career by netting four goals and picking up three assists for 11 points. She was one of just six players who started all 23 matches, and led all forwards and midfields in minutes played with 1,865. Wilde's biggest goal came in the final minutes of UCF's match vs. Florida State, a team that advanced to the National Championship game, which helped the Knights tie the Seminoles, 3-3.
