ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - Men's basketball season ticket holders will be able to secure their seat location at the new UCF Arena next week when the UCF Athletics Association holds select-a-seat events on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (Oct. 22-24). Each evening, appointments are scheduled from 6-9 p.m.
The Knights are slated to play 16 regular-season contests at the 10,000-seat arena. The venue, which officially opened in September, features numerous amenities, including a state-of-the-art scoreboard with four video screens and a variety of concession options.
Members of the UCFAA sales staff and the Golden Knights Club will be in attendance at the select-a-seat events, assisting each season ticket holder. Tickets will be distributed as well.
Season ticket holders are encouraged to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their assigned selection time for registration purposes. Parking is available in garage F, which is located north of the arena.
Prospective season ticket holders are also invited to attend. Call 407-UCF-1000 for more information about the event, or to purchase tickets.
Head coach Kirk Speraw's team went 22-9 a year ago and finished second in Conference USA. Following the regular season, Speraw was named the league's coach of the year. Nine letterwinners and three starters are back from a year ago.
UCF opens the regular season at home on Nov. 11, hosting Nevada. In addition to the Wolf Pack, nationally-recognized programs Connecticut and Ole Miss will also face the Knights at the new UCF Arena.
In C-USA play, top league squads like Houston, UAB and Tulsa are slated to visit Orlando.
