Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - Following each spring football practice, a general question will be asked of a selected group of Golden Knights. Today's question was:
Midway through spring practice, what are your general observations of the team?
Rocky Ross
#5 Junior Wide Reciever
"As a team, I think we are doing really well. We are coming out here with great intensity. This year, everyone is excited to play. The defense comes out here hooting and hollering. Everyone is getting hyped up to play. It is contagious and it has spread throughout the team."
Mike Merritt
#85 Senior Tight End
"Right now everything is going well. I think we are coming around on the plays. Coach O'Leary is really emphasizing on finishing plays and playing through the ball. Overall as a team, we are coming together right now."
Chance Henderson
#54 Sophomore Linebacker
"The defense has been doing a great job. The new coaches have really made things more simple for us. We are just going to the ball and making plays."
Kyle Israel
#7 Senior Quarterback
"I think the guys are really working hard and the team has really come together. The chemistry is great. We have some things to improve on, but that is what the goal is each practice."
Emeka Okammor
#71 Senior Defensive End
"Guys are really having a lot of fun. Our new (defensive) coaches have brought a positive attitude and they preach to have fun. We are really enjoying it out there."
