Jacksonville's Thomas Leads UCF in Final Day at FSU Relays

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (www.UCFAthletics.com) - Sophomore Dione Thomas (Jacksonville, Fla./Raines HS) won the triple jump as the UCF women's track and field team concluded competition at the FSU Relays on Saturday.

Thomas, who took fifth in the long jump on Friday, grabbed first place with a season-best leap of 38-10.25.

In the shot put, junior Virginia Traynor (Miami, Fla./ Westminster Christian HS) was third with a mark of 45-3 followed by freshman LaKendra Thames (Winter Garden, Fla./West Orange HS) in fourth at 43-6.

Meanwhile on the track, junior Tia Harewood (Wyandach, N.Y./Half Hollow Hills East HS) was third in the 100m hurdles at 14.70 and sophomore Sheree Carter (Tallahassee, Fla./Godby HS) was fourth at 14.89.

Freshman Feyisara Adaramola (Bronx, N.Y./Trevor Day School) made her outdoor season debut in the 100m dash, finishing fifth at 12.07.
