Spring Football: Day Five's Quick Question

March 27, 2007

Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - Following each spring football practice, a general question will be asked of a selected group of Golden Knights. Today's question was:

Who has had the hardest hit of the spring?

Kyle Israel
#7 Senior Quarterback

"I think Jason Venson hitting Rocky Ross on Saturday was a big hit."

Jason Venson
#45 Junior Free Safety

"I would have to say that Chance Henderson probably had the hardest hit on Phillip Smith. That might have been the hardest hit this spring."

Phillip Smith
#30 Sophomore Tailback

"Probably today was the hardest hit when Chance (Henderson) hit me. He got me pretty good."

Cory Hogue
#59 Junior Linebacker

"I would say that Chance (Henderson) probably had the hardest hit this spring on Phillip (Smith)."

Rocky Ross
#5 Junior Wide Receiver

"Jason Venson stuck me pretty nice the other day. It's hard to say, either that or one between the linebackers and the running backs."

Willie Thornton
#12 Junior Wide Receiver

"I would say Marlon Williams had the hardest hit on Jayson Williams. It was during team drills and a guy was on his (Jayson's) legs and Marlon stuck him and drove him back."
