ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - UCF men's basketball fans will have the opportunity to relive the Golden Knights' impressive 2006-07 campaign when the program holds its annual postseason banquet on Friday, April 13. This year's event will be held on campus at the Fairwinds Alumni Center. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m.

The Golden Knights went 22-9 overall this past year and posted an 11-5 mark in Conference USA play to finish second in the 12-team league. Following the regular season, Kirk Speraw was named the C-USA Coach of the Year.
UCF was the top shooting team in the league, leading C-USA in field goal and 3-point field-goal percentage. The Golden Knights did not lose back-to-back games during the season, going 8-0 after a loss. In its final campaign at the UCF Arena, the team went 15-1 at home.
This fall, the program will move into the new Convocation Center on campus. The 10,000-seat venue will give the Golden Knights one of the top venues in the nation.
Dating back to the start of the 2002-03 season, UCF has won 106 games. The program has averaged 21 victories over the last five years. Since leaving the Atlantic Sun Conference for C-USA prior to last year, the Golden Knights have posted 18 league victories, the most of the six programs that joined the league with UCF.
In addition to dinner, the banquet will include a video review of the season and an awards presentation.
