"UCF Sports Today" to Air Friday on Sun Sports

ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - "UCF Sports Today" with men's basketball head coach Kirk Speraw will air on Sun Sports this Friday at 5:30 p.m. This week's episode will feature a story on sophomore guard Jermaine Taylor (Tavares, Fla./Tavares).

The program will show highlights from UCF's (20-7, 9-4 Conference USA) league victories over Rice and Southern Miss. On Wednesday, the Golden Knights rallied for a 59-56 win over Southern Miss in Orlando.

Taylor is one of the top sixth men in the nation, averaging 13.3 points. He is shooting 48.6 percent from the field and 42.5 percent from 3-point range. As a freshman a year ago, Taylor averaged 4.3 points an outing.

Speraw and host Marc Daniels will preview UCF's next contest during the show. The team plays its final road game of the year on Saturday at Tulsa at 8 p.m. Eastern. After facing Tulsa, the Golden Knights will conclude the regular season at home against Houston (Wednesday, Feb. 28) and East Carolina (Saturday, March 3).
