Feb. 12, 2007

ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - UCF men's basketball head coach Kirk Speraw will talk about his team's Conference USA success when the "Cingular Wireless Knights Roundtable" radio show airs this Monday. The hour-long program on the UCF ISP Sports Network and its flagship station, 740 THE TEAM in Orlando, airs live from the Applebee's on University Boulevard near the UCF campus, starting at 6 p.m.

The Golden Knights (18-6, 7-3 C-USA) have won three-straight contests and are currently tied for second in the league standings with Houston and Rice. UCF improved to 12-1 at home in 2006-07 with a 75-58 win over Marshall on Saturday.

UCF is the top shooting team in the league, leading the conference in field-goal (48), 3-point field-goal (40) and free-throw (72.8) percentage. The Golden Knights have held each of their last three opponents to below 60 points.

Speraw's team plays three of its next four contests away from home, including games at Tulane and Rice this week. The Golden Knights face Tulane in New Orleans on Wednesday evening at 8 p.m. Eastern.

The "Cingular Wireless Knights Roundtable" is hosted by UCF's radio voice, Marc Daniels. Fans have the opportunity to ask Speraw questions about the Golden Knights in-person or via the telephone. Cingular customers can dial #740 to join the program. Fans can also call-in at 407-916-8255 and 1-800-729-8255.

UCF's next home contest is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 8 p.m. against Southern Miss.
