Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - UCF men's basketball head coach Kirk Speraw and senior forward Josh Peppers (Memphis, Tenn./Whitehaven HS) will represent the Golden Knights on Thursday on the Conference USA Media Slam, a special two-hour live broadcast on CSTV from the league's media day in Memphis, Tenn. The program airs at 6 p.m. Eastern from the FedEx Forum.
CSTV basketball analysts Seth Davis and Pete Gillen will be on hand to host the Media Slam. The show will offer fans an inside look at C-USA basketball and preview the 2006-07 season. All 12 of the league's head coaches and select players will also appear on the program.
The live show will also be made available online for free via the official web site of Conference USA, www.conferenceusa.com.
UCF is entering its second season in C-USA. The Golden Knights open the regular season on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at home against cross-town foe Rollins. Tip-off at the UCF Arena is set for 7:30 p.m.
