? The appearance on ESPN2 is the third in school history for UCF. The previous two meetings were against Marshall, who the Golden Knights will play next Wednesday, Oct. 4, in a game that will also be televised on ESPN2. UCF has a record six games on national television in 2006.

? Junior WR Javid James caught a career-high seven passes for a career-high 70 yards in his first career start. His only previous career reception came last year in the Southern Miss contest for six yards. James' fourth-quarter touchdown reception was the first of his career.

? In just his second start, true freshman CB Emery Allen registered a career-high six tackles. Previously, he had a game-high of two tackles against USF.

? The 36-yard reception by senior WR Mike Walker in the third quarter was his longest of the season.

? Walker has led the Golden Knights in receiving yardage in each of UCF's four games this season. He had four catches for 81 yards against the Golden Eagles.

? Sophomore RB Kevin Smith finished with a season-high 30 rushes for 129 yards. He was one shy of his career-high for carries, which came against Memphis a year ago.

? Smith's 129-yard rushing effort was his first 100-yard rushing effort of the season and sixth of his career. His yardage was also a season-high for a Golden Knight rusher.
