ORLANDO - UCF women's golf coach Emilee Klein announced Monday that junior golfers, Leigh Crosby of Watkinsville, Ga., and Victoria Tomko of Lontzen, Belgium have signed National Letters of Intent to play for UCF beginning in the fall.
"Leigh and Victoria have tremendous credentials and should have great college careers," Klein said. "They are both very talented and with the loss of two seniors from this year's squad, they will have the opportunity to compete for a spot in the lineup right away."
Crosby led Oconee High School with a nine-hole stroke average of 37 and also had success on the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour. She set a tournament record with a 3-under 69 en route to topping a field of 120 at the Georgia Peach Girl's High School Invitational.
Tomko trains at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. and attends school at Bradenton Academy. She is a decorated junior player who has registered more than a dozen top-5 tournament finishes in junior competition in the past year.
Crosby and Tomko join Sara Hurwitch of Potomac Falls, Va., who signed with UCF during the early signing period in the fall, to make up UCF's recruiting class for 2006.
