ORLANDO-The UCF softball team travels to El Paso, Texas to play UTEP for the team's final road trip of the season. The Golden Knights enter the weekend with a 16-31 season record and 2-16 Conference USA mark, while the Miners are 20-27 and 5-9

The squads will play two games on Saturday beginning at 6 p.m. ET and conclude the series with one contest on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.

Scouting UCF...Cici Alvarez leads the team with a .336 batting average, 47 hits, 22 walks, 15 sacrifice hits and 20 stolen bases. Allison Kime, who was named C-USA Pitcher of the Week on Monday, paces the pitching staff with a 1.75 ERA and an 11-15 mark as she has given up 79 runs on 153 hits with 181 strikeouts in 187.2 innings of work.

Last Time Out...UCF defeated Jacksonville Thursday afternoon at the UCF Softball Complex, 3-2. Cici Alvarez led the offensive attack, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and a run scored. Magon Paul went the distance in the circle for the Golden Knights, giving up two runs on seven hits with three strikeouts.

Next Up for UCF...The Golden Knights have a week and a half off for final exams before the team hosts Florida State on May 2 at the UCF Softball Complex in a mid-week doubleheader. First pitch is set for 5:30 p.m.

Scouting UTEP...Sarah Ramirez leads the Miners with a .374 batting average, while pitcher Veronica Flournoy is 10-8 in 25 appearances with an ERA of 2.48.

Last Time Out...The Miners defeated North Carolina A&T, 7-5, in Greensboro, N.C. Kelly Lombard led UTEP's offensive attack, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Veronica Flournoy earned the win in the circle, pitching five innings and giving up two runs on six hits with nine strikeouts.

Series vs. UTEP...The Golden Knights and the Miners are meeting for the first time on the softball diamond.
