ORLANDO, Fla. - The UCF women's soccer team won the IMG Spring Event last weekend in Bradenton, Fla. The Golden Knights defeated Miami, IMG and USF.
UCF defeated Miami, 1-0, to open the tournament. Stacey George crossed the ball to Roberta Pelarigo in the box who passed it to Kendra Flock for the score.
In the second game against IMG Academy, Jessalyn Withers sent a corner kick up in front of the net when Pelarigo headed the ball in for the score. Michelle DeCespedes added a second goal with Kristin Bilby and Pelarigo picking up the assists.
Against USF, Pelarigo scored her second goal of the tournament with assists going to Flock and DeCespedes. DeCespedes took the ball behind the defense then crossed to Flock in the box who passe to Pelarigo for the score.
The Golden Knights return to the field on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 10 a.m. when the team welcomes the alumni back for the annual match.
