GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Freshman Greg Forest continued his strong play this spring with rounds of 71 and 72 Saturday to lead the Golden Knights as UCF posted scores of 302 (+22) and 294 (+14) and is tied for 10th with Ohio State after the first day of competition at the SunTrust Gator Invitational at University Golf Course.

Host Florida leads the 14-team event by 11 shots over Tulsa heading into Sunday's final round. Forest is tied for 11th at 3-over-par, while the Gators' Brett Stegmaier is at 6-under-par and leads Tulsa's Nicolas Geyger by five shots. UCF is only eight shots behind fifth-place LSU.

Sophomore Giwon Suh matched Forest's afternoon round with a 2-over-par 72 and is tied for 39th. Freshman Kyle Davis is tied for 46th at 12-over-par, one shot ahead of sophomore Chris Anderson, who is tied for 54th. Anderson finished in a tie for ninth in his collegiate debut at this event last year. Stefan Wistorf is two shots back of Anderson in a tie for 63rd.
